[ Eddie has seen King Steve in action when they were in school together, knows how he gets girls to swoon with a toss of his hair and a wink of those big brown eyes. he would've had to be blind not to notice how effortlessly sexy Steve could be, and it's one reason that it had been kind of a punch in his gut when he'd seen the softer, almost shy side of him, too. a side that didn't know what to say—fair enough when Eddie was blabbering on enough for both of them—and self-deprecated around Nancy Wheeler. as much as he tries not to think about her and Steve, especially now that he knows more of the story and thinks that he'd been an idiot to try and encourage Steve to chase after her, Eddie can't help but be a little grateful to Nancy in the long run. she's the reason Steve has tried to change for the better, after all, and shown a part of himself that Eddie really likes. ]
