[Steve can be a bit overprotective for his own damn good but he takes on the responsibility of trying his best to keep everyone safe. Typically that means putting himself last but over the years Steve has slowly stopped caring about himself and placed his attention on those he cares greatly about. Eddie has now fallen into that category. He would give anything for it to not be because of the Upside Down.
