[She's not surprised. She can see the concern that's still lingering on his face even if she can't actually feel it right now. She sits when he gets her a chair, offering him a tiny smile and thanks.]
It's...just a thing I can do? Since I was a kid. Heal people. It's just kinda -- draining? Sometimes?
I don't -- know enough about that to have an answer. Maybe? [She takes another drink of her juice, closing both of her eyes for a moment because her head is pounding.]
[She presses her lips together at that, expression troubled. She has about a million and one questions about Eleven, this new information, the monsters, all of it, but it's hard to focus for long on any one thing.]
[Because Steve doesn't honestly know how to feel about any of this. He's going to focus on breakfast again. Thankfully nothing burned during this conversation.
[Thank God for bacon! She exhales as he heads to the stove again, and it gives her a few minutes to breathe and try to pull her thoughts together.]
No, I know you have questions. I mean, I think we both have a lot of questions. But my head is sorta pounding. [She exhales.] Also I -- need to use the bathroom and I don't know where it is.
[She unfurls from her position and heads down the hall, making a face at her reflection in the mirror. She looks...disgusting. She feels disgusting. She does her business, then washes her hands, then splashes cold water on her face a few times. It doesn't help her headache in the least, but it makes her feel a little more alert. She wonders if she should call her parents. They were probably wondering where she was, but they'd always seemed so disappointed by the fact that most nights she was home and in bed before 10. Disappointed that she wasn't doing more, didn't have friends, didn't have activities outside of her nerd stuff -- band and drama and soccer. Well. Maybe this would give them perspective? If they even noticed. It was a toss up.
After a few more moments, and after combing out her hair with her fingers and making another face at herself, she headed back toward the kitchen, letting her hand rest on the back of the chair he'd given her earlier as she stood silent, watching him.]
I guess -- I need to know if you're mad at me? And I probably should get out of your hair.
[She glances over at him, considering. That sorta. Brings up the other thing.]
Yeah, um. So, the more uncomfortable part of this whole thing is that in addition to healing, I can pick up on people's emotions. When they touch me. Or when I touch them.
[And she's a little concerned that part will make him mad.]
And I totally get that it's like, a violation of privacy and that's why I don't generally touch people or let people touch me, because it feels wrong to know how other people are feeling if they don't want that to be known? Even my parents get pretty freaked out by it, so -- we don't really -- you know. Hug? [Ever.] But um, yeah, I knew you were worried and I'm really sorry because I should have probably told you that part before just like -- [She waves her hand between them again.] -- healing you and everything. I just wanted to make sure you were okay and you know, I wasn't sure if you'd let me heal you if you knew that part and that's completely my fault, and I'm really sorry, Steve. [Oh god, she's rambling. Stop her.]
She's rambling. Welp! It's a lot for Steve to take in and process all at once. First she hits him with thise whole healing thing, then she passes out for literally hours and now she's telling him that she can feel emotions based on touch.
What the hell?
Steve's body goes tense and his jaw clinched. Shit.
What exactly did she feel from him? Guilt? Sorrow? Heartache? Full blown anger.
[Yep, he's pissed. She can't blame him, but it does make her eyes tear up as she grabs a piece of bacon and stuffs it in her mouth, heart beating quickly in her chest.]

[It was absolutely terrifying and Steve felt beyond hopeless. That's such a shitty feeling, a weak one. ]
Just something you can randomly do? Seriously?
no subject
I'm sorry. I didn't know that was going to happen. I didn't -- know how bad you were hurt until I was already healing you and then it was just --
[Robin waves a hand between them.]
I didn't mean to freak you out. I just wanted to help.

[Steve waves his hands about before they settle along his hips. ]
Heal people? Just like that.

I mean, I don't exactly know if it was something I was born with or if it was courtesy of -- um, well. Being tested on? But.
[She shrugs, not looking at him this time.]

[Steve can't help but drag his hands down his face. ]
Tested on?!

It can be dangerous if the wrong people knew. ]
Like with what happened with Eleven?
no subject
Is that what happened to her?

[Jesus Christ.
This is all so goddamn insane.]

She's young.
