[because, really - she's going to try to clear her head after this. put herself on the best path forward.]

[That he could do at least. He shuts off the engine to his car and moves to get out. He rounds the side and walks up to where Nancy is standing.

Hopefully no one is spying on them.

He dips his head down to gently press his lips against her own. ]

[nancy leans up and into him immediately. this is goodbye, is meant to be nothing but a goodbye, and it seems like nancy is trying to memorize the way kissing him feels. she should get inside, send him home, but she's locked here while steve kisses her.]

[Goodbye kisses shouldn't be rushed, right? It's perfectly fine the way his lips linger along her own and an arm wraps around her petite waist in order to pull her closer against him.]

[nancy sags into him, her hands gripping his sides. she's leaning up into him when the porch light blinks twice at her, and she sighs right into steve's mouth.]

[He knows that's a cue for him to stop but he's already well ahead of himself and honestly he didn't want to rush Nancy back home this early.

But their conversation had taken a harsh turn.]

Better?

[He whispers against her lips before his mouth is back on her and he's kissing her deeper.]

[her mom is already going to kill her, so what's it going to hurt if she surges up into that followup kiss, holding the side of his face like it's something delicate. fuck. fuck, she's not ready to let him go home yet.

when they pause to catch their breath, she's going to mutter-]

My bedroom window is unlocked. [her hand slides to his neck, holds it there.] In case that's relevant to you.

[He's not ready to let her go inside yet either. Shit, he wished he had actually told her that. He dips his head down to press a tender kiss against her neck, his arms still loosely around her tiny frame.]

How convenient.

[no matter how tense or awkward things get, it's evident that nancy finds a sense of safety with steve's arms around her like that. her fingers grip his shirt, head tilted slightly to the side, quietly giving him better access to her neck.]

I like the fresh air.

[He continues to press soft kisses against her skin and he has to refrain himself from allowing his head to sneak back up her sweater.

Shit.

Kissing her neck like this always been a favorite of his. The sweet little sounds she would make.]

Mmm, it is a nice night.

[nancy is making those same sounds now, her own hand trawling up to thread through his hair again. she strokes his scalp fondly, appreciatively, pressing her body a little more firmly to his - until the light at the door flickers again. she's being sent a message, and she cuts her eyes curiously to steve's.]

[Goddammit!

The flickering light has him sighing against her neck. He knows if that don't take this back to her bedroom that her mother would be outside soon.]

Would you kill me if I said that I really want to eat you out? That too much?

[nancy draws back, catching his cheeks in her hands and pressing a chaste little kiss against his mouth.]

I told you. My window's open.

[she's slightly pink, hoping to play that off in the darkness, before she finally pulls back from him and heads inside.]

[Fair enough.

He gives her a final tender kiss before she slips from his arms. He waits until she's made it inside safely before he gets back in his car. He can't make it obvious that he's definitely taking advantage of her bedroom window.

He parks his car out of sight and waits until all lights are off before sneaking back.

A soft tap comes from Nancy's window.]

[nancy slides the window up, reaching in to help haul steve safely into her room. she holds her index finger to her lips, indicating that they should be quiet.

she can't help but look a little relieved as she whispers:]

You came.

[He thankfully gets in without much trouble or making that much noise. ]

Of course I did. I wasn't ready to let you go just yet.

Don't let me go, Steve.

[nancy barely even registers what she herself is saying until it's out of her mouth in a half-plea, and she flushes when she realizes. she cuts herself off by leaning up and kissing him like they'd never been interrupted in the driveway.]

[Her words hit straight to his heart and his arms are back around her within seconds. He knows damn well what she meant even if it was by accident.]

I'm not going to too.

[He promises through heated and breathless kisses.]

[nancy leans her torso away steve just enough so that she can push the front of his sweater up. her fingers graze bare skin, and then she laughs into the kiss.]

I can't believe what you did in the theater.

[Steve resists the urge to shiver against the soft touch of her fingertips. Shit, he's missed her touching him like this.

He laughs softly against her mouth.]

Sorry?

[her hands smooth along the side of his waist, up his back. just exploring, admiring.]

You are not.

I couldn't help myself.

[Not that she was innocent in the matter and now that they're all alone again, his own hand drops to gently slip up her blouse. Fingers lightly smoothing over her abdomen.]

And you always fit so perfectly in my mouth so I helped myself.

[she exhales low, a pleased noise at the warmth of his hand against her stomach.]

Yeah. [murmured amusement.] I think I could tell you were enjoying it, actually.

[He keeps his hand along her stomach debating if he should deep low or high. Both delicious options.]
