[she can feel her own flush after steve's little moan. she gives a reluctant groan of her own, scattering kisses against the side of his cheek as she grinds down against him hard a final time, before rolling back into her seat just as the lights flicker back on.

she's flushed, flustered, and she combs her fingers through his hair.]

Good movie.

[Jesus Christ this girl will be the damn death of him. He bucks up against her one last time, his hands holding her in place so that she can fully feel him.

He wants to continue but]

Amazing movie.

[nancy would be hard pressed to even remember the title of the film at this point. she clears her throat and tries to smooth down her own hair as she stands, offering a hand to help him up.]

Good, um. Effects.

[He takes her offered hand softly before he pushes himself up to his feet. He has to take a moment to adjust himself, smooth out his own clothes as the theater clears out.]

Terrific fighting sequences.

Yeah. My thoughts exactly.

[she grins a little sheepishly, her eyes flicking briefly down to his lips, before she slips past him out of the aisle.]

[He resists the urges to capture her by the wrist and pull her back into for another kiss. Instead he tucks his hands within his pockets and moves to follow behind her.]

[she shrugs her jacket back on as they exit the building, casting another glance at him, as if trying to figure out what direction they're taking.]

Well, um. Thanks for picking me up.

[He keeps a bit of distance between them as they walk back to his car. He's trying to figure that out himself and what it could potentially mean for them both.]

Sure. Guess I should be getting you back home, huh?

[she winds her arms around herself, looking more indecisive than she's happy to admit.]

That's probably the right thing to do.

Unless?

[She's not ready to be whisked back home just yet and honestly it's nice to be in her company without any interruptions.]

I mean- unless there's anywhere else in town still open for us to go.

[she's of the same mind - she's not quite ready to go home just yet.]

I could pull around back of the theater and we could-

[Continue if that was something she really wanted or they could just drive around if she preferred.]

[nancy chews one thumbnail, glancing at his car.]

Is that, um- private enough?

I can find somewhere that is if you're uncomfortable but we don't have too.

[He doesn't want to pressure her into continuing what they started in the theater if she got what she wanted already.

[she rounds to face him in the emptying parking lot, maybe standing a little closer than she needs to.]

I'm trying to respect your boundaries here. So - whatever you're comfortable with, you know?

[His eyes fall along her petite body, trying to read her expression and what's going on in that brilliant mind of hers.]

Did you want to hangout so that we could have sex? You don't have to hide it if you did.

[her voice is firm, but unoffended.]

I wanted to hang out because I miss you. We're friends, aren't we?

I like to think so.

[But it's honestly hard to tell sometimes with Nancy.]

You know I don't want anything to be awkward between us, right? I don't want to go backwards.

[she takes a bracing breath, nodding silently.]

I know. But I think we're past that.

Good because I don't want to lose you again.

[The first time had been hard enough. He sure as hell doesn't want a second time.]

[her brow furrows very slightly and she steps in to close the distance between them to kiss him briefly.]

After everything we've been through? Please.

[But that's easy to say in the now. He accepts the kiss regardless.]

[her eyes are searching.]

Sex is off the table, yeah?

[Steve doesn't want her to feel obligated to have sex or that's something he's expecting out of all of this because it isn't.]

Think I should be asking you that question.

[it's a little huff, and she reaches up to touch his collar briefly.]
